If you want part-time or occasional work, look for real estate investors who need a painter for a few days now and then, or offer your services to friends and acquaintances on weekends. I would definitely recommend Mayco Panting to anyone who needs their house painted. They communicated well, and were very professional and thorough. I've received many complements on the job they did.
$315 – $945 Calculate how much paint you need – One gallon of paint covers up to 400 SF. Professionals recommend two coats of paint and buying more than you need.
If you choose a higher quality interior paint from Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, expect to pay $50-$70 per gallon. If choosing lower-grade paint for a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot, you can expect to pay $30-$45 per gallon.
When asked the first thing he’d do if he were to retire tomorrow, Lee says he’d continue doing the things he currently enjoys. “I’d probably spend more time playing with my daughter, going to the gym and skiing. If you do decide to make it a full-time business, the sky’s the limit. The house flipper/contractor that I worked for billed clients $35 per hour for painting, and paid his best painters perhaps half of that, so there is room for some profit there. Consider the case of Matt Shoup, who started with $100 and went door-to-door, asking neighbors if they needed some painting done, then built a painting business that earns $2.5 million per year!
