When asked the first thing he’d do if he were to retire tomorrow, Mike says he’d head south for an extended vacation. “I would probably take a trip through Central and South America and spend a month touring the different countries. On the other hand, I might just go to the Bahamas and kick back for a while.” A: Probably seeing my father play music years ago. If you decide to paint your ranch house, you will pay between $5,950 and $17,000. If you look at a ranch house from the top, it should look like an "L" or "U" shape. They're a common sight in suburban environments. They were prevalent in the subdivisions built in the 1950s and after the close of World War II. Design experts recommend a neutral exterior color with a bright and complementary accent color when painting your ranch house.

Curb appeal isn’t all about the walls. Other outdoor features — such as trim, doors, and gutters — need new paint every once in a while, too. Painting these parts of your house along with the siding can give the whole exterior a clean, put-together look.
The prep work is meticulous, they carefully protect surfaces not meant to be painted, including my beautiful Cordyline plants that touch the wall. They even taped plastic over my cement floor backyard. The quality of the work is great, I don't see any flaws in the paint job, and the paint is quick drying with no overwhelming paint smell. They fixed any minor flaws with the surfaces, applying patches and re-stuccoing as needed. My house looks new again!

A primer is essentially a protective layer that you apply before the first coat of paint. If you are painting over an already painted surface, you may be able to avoid a primer altogether by using a 2-in-1 paint and primer product. However, if you are painting a surface that has never been painted before or changing the paint or finish type, it would be a good idea to prepare the surface using a traditional primer. Primers should also be used when painting over hard, smooth surfaces like glass or tile. All three types of primers, oil-based, latex-based, and shellac-based, can be used under latex paint.
